To reduce the liability of building owners and operators in cases of disease outbreak, you must have verified, documented adherence to Standard 188.
What Makes Up an Effective Water Management Program?
To ensure that your facility meets the standards of ASHRAE Standard 188, Danco can serve as your program team, responsible for water management program development and implementation. From there, we’ll help you along as you take the following steps.
Determine Water System Plans
The Program Team will determine the potable and non-potable water systems at your facility and develop plans for your water management system.
We will conduct a comprehensive analysis to detect any hazardous conditions in your building’s water system.
For monitoring purposes, we will identify locations in the water system where control measures are required.
Once control locations are identified, we will determine control measures to be applied at those locations.
Control measures at each location require set limits. We will determine limits such as maximum value, minimum value, and ranges in which a chemical or physical parameter must be monitored and maintained at an acceptable level.
After all control limits are set, we will perform ongoing monitoring to ensure the water management program stays within control limits. If results fall outside of the set limits, the appropriate corrective actions will be taken.
Once the program is implemented, we’ll establish procedures to confirm that the water management program is being implemented as designed.
When we’ve verified your program’s implementation, our team will validate that program is effective at controlling hazardous conditions.
Finally, the Danco team will keep a record of all procedures and maintain ongoing documentation as necessary.
