A Legionella risk assessment is the first step towards compliance with the Health and Safety Executives Legionella approved code of practice and guidance document, ACoP L8. Whilst the guidelines are not law they are enforceable under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the COSHH Regulations (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
