Life Cycle Assessments
We are working with our clients to assess the environmental aspects and potential impacts associated with a product, process or service. Assessing the complete life cycle of a product allows our clients to understand and quantify impacts associated with producing, processing, and distributing a product from the point of creation through its use and ultimate disposal. Although measurable categories are tailored to each industry, common categories include greenhouse gas emissions, ozone layer depletion, environmental degradation, eutrophication, land use change, water use, depletion of minerals and fossil fuels.
By utilizing web-based tools and referring to ISO 14000 reporting standards ISOS can identify hot-spots along the life cycle of any given product and design mitigation strategies for success. The ultimate goal is to:
- Build visibility around demonstrated environmental responsibility
- Identify potential risks and opportunities
- Increase efficiencies along the value chain
- Create added financial benefits through savings, investments and consumer preference
ISOS Group’s final conclusions will be delivered in a comprehensive document and presented orally to a group of key decision makers identified by the client organization. The analysis will provide the client organization with a detailed look at the environmental impacts across all stages of the life of the designated product. Understanding true impacts will allow the company to strengthen gaps in the chain in order to improve overall processes and relationships both upstream and downstream. This information will also be necessary for addressing immediate and foreseeable risks, while also prioritizing future sustainability efforts.
