Lightning Risk Analysis is an essential step in guaranteeing the safety of the people and property from lightning strikes. It is based on standards NF EN 62305-2 and NF C 17-102 to assess the risks that can be caused by lightning on your site and nearby.
Our objective : determine whether lightning protection is required on your site, and what level of protection should be applied.
All our Lightning Risk Analyses are carried out by our QUALIFOUDRE certified specialists and follow the calculations in standards NF EN 62305-2 and NF C 17-102. Our team also carries out Simplified Analyses in accordance with the FDC 17-108.
Site Visit
If a site visit is required, our QUALIFOUDRE-certified experts will visit the site to accurately reccord all identifiabe risk factors. We carry out specific measurements useful for the analysis and take pictures, enabling us to provide you with a detailed report .
Carrying out a lightning Risk Analysis
Based on the plans and/or information collected during the visit, our technicians carry out a Lightning Risk Analysis using various tools, including France Paratonnerres’ calculation software : IONEXPERT 4000. This analysis is based on data such as : the size of the site, the site’s environment, the density of lightning strikes, the presence of power lines, the type of public, the number of people, the occupancy time, ect..
