With over 190 million square feet (1,760+ hectares or 4,300+ acres) of experience in performing electrical leak location surveys since 2004, TRI’s staff brings a wealth of experience to your project to ensure effective method application.
Electrical Leak Location surveys can be performed on bare geomembranes as well as geomembranes covered with earthen materials, water or wastewater. Electricity is introduced above the geomembrane and grounded to the semi conductive layer below the geomembrane. Since geomembranes are electrically isolative, the methods track the electrical current travelling through holes in the geomembrane. The current is tracked differently depending on whether the geomembrane is covered or exposed.
TRI performs Electrical Leak Location surveys using the most advanced equipment available, with superior quality control and documentation. Surveys are managed and supervised by Abigail Gilson, M.S., P.E.
