Management and Treatment
Petroltecnica supports its customers in waste management from the waste production to the disposal, through its treatment plants.Petroltecnica can provide to its customers a 360° waste management service. Petroltecnica is chartered to the National Register of Environmental Administrators (Registration n° BO01330).All Petroltecnica’s plants own the Integrated Environmental Authorization (A.I.A.) for the disposal of hazardous and not hazardous waste.
The plant situated in Coriano (RN) is also authorized for handling oil reclaimed from waste materials, according to the tax treatment of minerals oil. Both the plants situated in Coriano (RN) and in Ostellato (FE) are authorized to treat 285.400 tons/ year of waste and to storage of 11.524 tons of hazardous and not hazardous waste.
Petroltecnica is able to carry on the following treatment:
- Water decontamination;
- Inactivation;
- Sludge centrifugation;
- Soil washing;
- Bioremediation;
- Materials handling, selecting, decontaminating, washing, pressing.
Waste Global Service, provided by Petroltecnica, include all waste handling activities in the customer’s plant. The services consist in sampling, contacts with certified Laboratories for waste characterization, waste handling and transportation, filling the loading and unloading registers together with the Waste Identification Forms (FIR) and arrangement of the dossier for the waste exportation.
Our authorized plants are composed of the following integrated treatment systems:
- Chemical-physical plant for water treatment, with oxidation and filtration through quartzite andactivated carbon at final stage.
- Inactivation/ stabilization plant, working on batches and non stop. The sludge is mixed with chemicalproducts, which are able to neutralized pollutant, when they are moved into the garbage dump.
- Decanter for oily and not oily sludge
- Bioremediation plant for the treatment of soil contaminated by hydrocarbons. Through the use ofmicroorganism, the natural processes of decomposition will be speed up
- Soil Washing plant to wash contaminated soil.

Coriano Plant (RN) waste capacity 230.500 tons/year
R3, R4, R8, D8, D9, D13 and D14.
Storage: 8980 ton – D15 and R13.
Ostellato (FE) Plant waste capacity 54.000 tons/year
D8, D9, D13 and D14.
Storage: 2.544 ton – D15 and R13.
Waste Global Service offers technical and management support to customers in their plants.
The service covers the following four steps: operational, regulation, administrative, consulting.Our service allow to reduce waste production, to manage all administrative aspects, to improveenvironmental balance by increasing the waste re cycling
Waste Global Service is addressed to all customers handling hazardous and not hazardous specialwaste, this is a sensitive subject, in particular in big complex where the cooperation with the client isessential, in order to identify the best available method to reduce the waste production or anyway the dangerousness.
In these cases we can also provide management technical support for the fulfilment of all bureaucraticduties linked to the waste management.
Our operations and services are all finalized to recovery as much raw materials.
A representative example can be the recovery of valuable metals from catalysts used in refiningprocesses.
