PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

GEM 360 personnel review the entire client supplied specification package and prepare written cost and scope of supply submittals. Upon notification of an order, a complete Bill of Material is developed to define the parts required during production. From the derived list, a preliminary make/buy decision is made and quotes from multiple vendors are acquired to determine product costs. The company assigns procurement specialists, who have specific responsibilities for management overview, as required by the project. GEM 360 uses approved suppliers to ensure that all parts will meet the desired form, fit, and function from fabrication through final installation.

The primary objective and approach of GEM 360’s supplier management and procurement process is to ensure that the suppliers meet the contract schedule, cost, quality objectives, and provide the required parts per the approved design. It is recognized that the success of this program is highly dependentupon the timely delivery of materials and equipment from multiple vendors, while meeting all project requirements. It is GEM 360’s policy and common practice to proactively track the entire process, from ordering through receipt and verification. This process ensures that problems with timeliness or quality will not create delays or integration and coordination problems further in the build process.
