Indoor Biotechnologies uses a Thermo Fisher Orbitrap platform combined with a Vanquish Flex UHPLC liquid chromatography system.
The Q Exactive is a hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometer, combining a high-performance quadrupole mass filter system with a high resolution, sensitive Orbitrap mass analyzer. The instrument is designed for discovery proteomics, quantitative proteomics and analysis of post translation modifications. Applications include targeted or untargeted screening and a broad range of qualitative and quantitative applications in drug discovery, proteomics, environmental and food safety.
InBio scientists can analyze a variety of biological samples from purified proteins to complex extracts, lyophilizates, allergoids and chemically adsorbed preparations used as drug products for allergy therapeutics. The same approach can be used for other biologics of diagnostic and clinical use. Indoor Biotechnologies is ISO 9001:2015 certified for manufacture of biologics and allergens for allergic diseases.

- Identification of proteins in a gel band/spot or in solution
- Protein Profiling for Complex Samples:
- Identification of multiple proteins in a complex sample
- Intact Mass:
- Determines the accurate mass of the protein and the relative abundance
Protein Identification (IBMS-ID):
- Identification of proteins in a gel band/spot or in solution.
- Gel bands/Gel spots. We accept any type of gel matrix and most stains (please avoid the Bio-Rad Silver Stain Plus Kit). Make sure to cut the band close to your target, the gel band dimensions should be ~5mm x 2mm.
- Protein in solution. Required protein concentration of ≥1µg/µL in 50-100L of buffer. Please provide detailed buffer information with your sample submission, as well as sequence info on the target protein(s).
- Steps:
- Sample preparation: Digestion with trypsin, Reduction & Alkylation
- LC-MS/MS: Digested samples are analyzed with LC-MS/MS
- Data analysis: Protein identification performed with Sequest HT
- Report generation: PDF/Excel
- Turnaround time: 2 weeks
Protein Profiling for Complex Samples (IBMS-PP):
- For projects that require identification of multiple proteins in a complex sample. Total amount of instrument and analysis time will vary based on the complexity of the sample. Generally, more instrument time will enable identification of a greater number of proteins with a higher sequence coverage.
- Steps:
- Sample preparation: Digestion with trypsin, Reduction & Alkylation
- LC-MS/MS: Increments of 0.5h LC-MS/MS.
- Data analysis: Increments of 0.5h
- Data analysis: Protein identification is performed with Sequest HT
- Report generation: PDF/Excel
- Turnaround time: 3 weeks
Intact Mass (IBMS-IM):
- Provides information on the accurate mass of the protein and the relative abundance.
- Steps:
- Sample preparation: Dilution of submitted sample or custom dialysis
- LC-MS/MS: 0.5hr LC-MS/MS
- Data analysis: Thermo BioPharma Finder
- Report generation: PDF
- Turnaround time: 2 weeks
