Mold and Indoor Air Quality Services
The term “sick building syndrome” (SBS) is used to describe situations in which building occupants experience acute health and comfort problems that appear to be linked to time spent inside the building, but no specific illness or cause can be identified. In contrast, the term “building related illness” (BRI) is used when symptoms of diagnosable illness are identified and can be attributed directly to airborne building contaminants.* ALC Environmental will evaluate your property, report all findings, make recommendations, and highlight necessary improvements needed to meet compliance requirements and reduce health risks to individuals working or living in the space.
ALC Indoor Air Quality Services Include:
Residential Questionnaire
Interviewing site employees and residents (if applicable & requested) to gather information about possible sources and symptoms related to poor indoor air quality
Testing of Air Pollutants
Air quality testing, including: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, lead in dust, airborne asbestos, VOCs, spores, and other applicable pollutants and indicators.
- Assessment of Ventilation System
- Assessment of Heating and Cooling System
- Sampling of Mold Spores and Bacteria
- Inventory of Chemicals and Solvents
Comprehensive Report
- ALC air quality specialists and industrial hygienists will use information from these sources to determine compliance with OSHA and any local regulations. We will then make recommendations highlighting the improvements necessary not only to meet compliance requirements, but reduce health risks to individuals working in the environment.
