David Scott of Peak Environment currently holds a Board Member Position with the American Council of Accredited Certification (ACAC).

The American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) is North America`s premier independent certifying body. ACAC`s certifications focus on indoor air quality and related disciplines.

There are more than 3,000 Council-certified professionals in the United States, Canada and overseas. They work in fields like mold inspection, mold remediation, asbestos removal, infection control consulting, home inspection, indoor air quality management and microbial claims adjusting.

ACAC designations require extensive knowledge and field experience. They also require 40 hours of continuing professional development every two years. ACAC certifications are board awarded by a nationwide panel of industry peers.

Attention Governmental Procurement Officers:

The Federal Government has a "Mold Remediation" specification that specifies the use of assessors and contractors who hold ACAC certifications. It is called the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (USGS 02 85 00.00 20 Mold Remediation).

This specification is a joint effort of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency (HQ AFCESA), the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (HQ AFCEE) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Procurement Officers can use verbiage from this Federal specification to hire ACAC Mold Remediators and satisfy their specific needs to select and award a contract. To find out more information call us today.
