Municipal Program
RMC currently handles batteries for recycling from several municipalities from around the globe. RMC is approved by Stewardship Ontario"s MSHW plan as a processor of batteries. Authorized collection facilities located within Ontario can ship MSHW qualified batteries to RMC for processing free of costs provided they qualify for the program. RMC can assist with the set up of collection facilities at multiple sites, offices, HHW depots, hospitals, police stations etc.
Reporting is available on an as needed basis and can be generated for each of your sites. RMC issues a certificate of recycling for any waste battery shipments received at RMC within 90 days of receipt of a shipment. Please contact us to discuss this program.
We can also offer collection of Mercury bearing wastes such as (lamps, bulbs, switches etc) as well as Electronic Wastes (Computers, Monitors, PDAs, Cell Phones, Printers, Copiers etc.).
