Due to the rising energy costs, landfill directives and importance of alternative energy sources it will be necessary to exploit the energy content of the waste to substitute fuel, RDF - residual derived fuel. The production of RDF is the optimum solution both environmentally and economically. The Eldan Recycling System is designed for size reduction of MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) such as plastic wrappings, plastic films, paper, madresses, carpets etc. The final setup of a recycling system for processing of MSW will depend on the requirements of the customer and the specific input material.
Due to Landfill Directives and Incineration Directives it will be necessary to exploit the energy content of the waste, RDF - Residual Derived Fuel. To optimize the process it is necessary to reduce the waste volume to an optimum size of material of for instance
The system offered by Eldan Recycling for processing of MSW is modular and designed to process for example the following types of input:
- Plastic wrappings
- Plastic film
To optimize the process, it is important to reduce the waste volume into a homogeneous fraction size of for instance.
Main output fraction will be smaller than for example 50 mm (or according to your needs). The output material will be free from non-ferrous and ferrous materials (or depending to your needs).
The standard setup of the MSW recycling system includes a Heavy Pre-Granulator with Force Feeding Device, Vibrating Discharge Conveyor and a Swivel Conveyor (Magnet or Eddy Current Separator is optional). The Heavy Pre-Granulator is prepared for crane or conveyor feeding. The system handles capacities from 5,000 kg/hr* up to 15,000 kg/ hr*
To achieve the required type of end-product, different standard MSW recycling plants are available. These standard plants are also the starting point when plants are tailored to suit specific customer requirements. Available optional modules for specific requirements within MSW recycling are;
If pre-chopping of volume is required the Eldan Super Chopper (SC2118) or the dual shaft Super Chopper II (SC2118-II) is recommended. These machines are capable of size reduction into approx. smaller then 300 mm pieces at a capacity of 50.000 kg/production hour or more.
