ENCAP, Inc. not only services the development community, but municipalities, forest preserves, park districts, Homeowners Associations, and individual land owners as well. We are unique because of our thorough understanding of the development process, compliance issues, sign-off requirements, regulatory authorities, land stewardship, and ownership liabilities and responsibilities. We strive to relieve the developer, project manager, property manager, or owner of undue responsibility related to the success of native plantings. We strive to be proactive in recognizing site issues that may affect NPDES compliance or the successful establishment of designed vegetation. We strive to be adaptive to changing site conditions to ensure proper installation, establishment and monitoring of natural areas.

Our Services Include (but are not limited to):

• Mechanical / Herbicide control of invasive and non-native perennial plant species
• Prescribed burns and permit authorization
• Installation of live native plants (including plugs, trees, and shrubs)
• Proper installation of seed (includes native grasses, forbs, woodlands, prairies, wetlands, sedges, and rushes)
• Proper mowing and/or weed-whacking of non-native, invasive annual plant species
• Removal of non-native, woody vegetation
• Installation of proper erosion control blanket to meet erosion control requirements
• Proper monitoring of natural areas and coordination with management crews to meet required performance standards (includes meander search, transect, hydrology, and wildlife monitoring)
• Overseeing of a project from start to finish

With the rare exception of climatic hardship (severe drought or flooding, outside contractor negligence or vandalism), ENCAP, Inc. guarantees that native plantings performed by ENCAP, Inc. and managed through the designated management period by ENCAP, Inc. will meet desired performance standards or ENCAP, Inc. will satisfy the standard at no additional cost to the client.

ENCAP, Inc. will provide the client with a proposal with not to exceed costs covering all necessary tasks to meet performance criteria. These costs will remain firm throughout the term of the contract.

The ENCAP, Inc. Native Landscaping and Ecological Consulting Staff is capable of handling projects of any size, from the smallest to the largest. We are proud of our experienced staff and laborers and are equipped with a large enough fleet of trucks, tractors, fine grading equipment, and seeders to tackle the most complex projects. We are experts at managing time constraints and budgets.

Our restoration/management crews consist of individuals trained in natural area management techniques. In addition to site supervision by restoration ecologists, these crews are backed by the ENCAP, Inc. Ecological Consulting Staff which includes:
