Medical Program and Disability Management:
Medical Program and Disability Management:
Our experienced physicians can assist you with development or administration of effective medical programs to enhance issue identification and community and employee health improvement. Our team carefully evaluates likelihood of a true disease cluster versus a coincidental occurrence. We also have experience managing Workers’ Compensation claims, including acute and cumulative injuries, follow up care, causation analysis and determination, and return to work, accommodation, and disability issues.
Medical Screening, Surveillance, and Biologic Monitoring:
We can assist you with monitoring of health effects and clearance regarding chemical, biologic, biomechanical, or physical exposures in the workplace or in the community. We can provide medical clearance (for example with use of respirators), screening, and surveillance. Medical screening is the detection of disease, whereas medical surveillance is the analysis of health information to assist with the determination of exposure to a chemical. Biologic monitoring, on the other hand, refers to the collection of blood, urine, or other body fluids or tissues to look for evidence of exposure or level of exposure to a chemical hazard. We can provide these services for codified (legally required) exposures as well as those that are voluntarily assessed.
Chemical Exposure Assessment:
Our team of toxicologists, epidemiologists, statisticians, and occupational and environmental physicians are true experts in assisting you with chemical exposures, whether preventive or post-incident.
Issue Assessment and Resolution:
If you have a work health issue with which would like assistance, we have the experience to provide you with a solution. Ergonomic assessments, workplace stressor resolution, as well as assistance with plant closures and other mandated health assessments and communication in English, Spanish, and French.
Disaster Preparedness and Crisis Response:
Be it a natural disaster or an operational incident, we work with you from the planning stage of crisis preparedness, through a crisis, to the post incident debrief.
Risk Communication:
We design communication programs that build strong relationships among communities, agencies, and industry and provide health care provider peer to peer communications. Words are powerful. So are emotions. When these two meet, they can build bridges or destroy best efforts. We provide training designed to help you achieve the former. We specialize in risk and crisis communication, front line and executive risk communication, first contact communication, media training, and custom communication programs designed to fit specific needs.
Health Education and Training:
Trust and credibility evolve from clearly communicated information about health, preventive measures, surveillance, remediation, and treatments. Our health education training can empower employees by improving understanding of the exposure and preventive measures to reduce risk.
Litigation Support:
Our medical staff and team of scientists have experience in case evaluation and preparation as well as detailed research and expert witness testimony.
Health Impact Assessments (HIAs):
How will the project impact the health of the community? How big will these impacts be, and how can we enhance stakeholder engagement? Questions like these are addressed by our health impact assessments.
