Turnkey

We provide start-to-finish equipment automation or full host connectivity allowing your engineering team to focus on your unique IP and core competencies. The turnkey engagement model includes the following service options:

  • Functional specification – We conduct an in-depth requirements analysis, including SECS/GEM automation specification and fab assessment, to ensure we understand your needs and, if applicable, the factory’s expectations for equipment integration.
  • Software development – Utilizing a process-oriented approach, our software development managers work directly with your team on project scope and requirements in the delivery of quality-assured software. Our team can handle all user interface design, material handling automation and control system capabilities, host connectivity, complete GEM manual for your equipment, and PLC expertise to support equipment automation.
  • Equipment testing – All software is tested under simulation to validate automation compliance against specific factory scenarios to ensure your equipment is automation-ready prior to on-site integration.
  • On-site acceptance testing and integration – We provide equipment troubleshooting and predictable implementation services to ensure quick and easy acceptance into the automated manufacturing environment.
Co-development

Some OEMs leverage our equipment automation software infrastructure but write parts of the automation software themselves. You can use one of our products for easy configuration and our engineers can fill in the gaps where we have more experience. In a co-development engagement, we can provide:

  • Factory automation specification reviews – We’ll determine how well your equipment meets the factory requirements.
  • Equipment automation, UI, and general design work – Let your engineering team to focus on your unique IP and core competencies while we take care of the rest.
  • Hardware drivers – We have experience developing hardware drivers for a variety of tools and components, including: EFEMs, load ports, tag readers, robots, aligners, vacuum devices, and many others.
  • Coaching on equipment or factory automation scenarios – Our team offers solutions for testing to ensure your equipment meets these scenarios.
  • Customized training – Receive product training that is focused on your equipment and how to deploy our products into it.
  • Testing plan – We develop a testing strategy to effectively test the equipment against new automation specifications or full host automation.
  • On-site automation acceptance – We provide consulting services during factory acceptance into the automated manufacturing environment.
SDK

Some equipment makers with deep engineering resources choose to use our rapid development products like PTO® and EIB® OEM as the backbone for their equipment automation, but do the configuration and customization in-house. In an SDK engagement model, you can choose from:

  • Jumpstart product training – We provide all you need to know, along with best practices, to get started with independent configuration.
  • Ongoing consulting services – Receive guidance when it’s needed during your equipment automation development to ensure you can automate your equipment rapidly, leverage our products’ deep feature sets, and maintain your independence.
  • Implementation consultation – Top-tier experts will coach and share knowledge with your team in this high value-add engagement.
