Whether you need a small coaster, or a massive capesize vessel, a single 20’ container, or a full tanker shipment, Oxbow’s ocean freight team has a wealth of world-wide knowledge and experience to move cargo. Supported by a panel of respected international shipbrokers, Oxbow can source ocean freight needs around the globe 24 hours a day. Our current cargo book is approaching 10 million tons and more than 500 vessels per year. We utilize many freight coverage options including COA’s, time charters and standard voyage charters.
Cargo Expertise
Whether you are moving standard steam coal or specialized sulphur products, Oxbow’s ocean freight team has the understanding and know-how to get it done. We regularly move petroleum coke, calcined petroleum coke, coal, sulphur, gypsum, metcoke, anthracite, steel products and activated carbon via various shipping methods. But we don’t just stop at simple drybulk cargo. Oxbow’s ocean freight team is also involved in the "wet" tanker markets for our sulphuric acid and molten sulphur business as well as multimodal shipments like containers.
Value-Added Services
A sale is never complete until the customer is happy, and with that in mind Oxbow’s ocean freight team has developed additional value-added capability to complement our ocean freight services. Our ocean freight team regularly provides suppliers and customers part cargo opportunities, vessel transshipment, storage services, cargo handling, inventory management, and onward transportation options all the way to the customer’s desired site.
