As one of the UK’s major collectors of recyclable plastics, Smurfit Kappa Recycling has markets for all materials including polythene, polypropylene, plastic bottles and hard plastics.We collect loose and baled plastic film from some of the major UK retailers and have contracts with numerous local authorities for recovery of plastic bottles. The environmental benefits of recycling plastics are considerable - massive amounts of energy can be saved, natural resources such as oil conserved, reduced emissions of greenhouse gases and valuable space is spared from landfill.
