Chant Construction Limited was founded in Southern Ontario on December 3, 1998 by it`s President, Ted Chant, P.Eng. Since then, As Chant grew in experience and reputation, it`s focus veered to the power industry and it`s focus has attracted many highly qualified individuals, whose expertise covered a wide range of power-related diciplines. This core team of hydro professionals is sustained and strengthened by dedicated support personnel posessing extensive construction and management experience.

Chant has expanded into territories in Western Canada, the United States, and overseas. Several subsidiary companies have been created to manage operations in different parts of the world as our company continued to expand. Chant Construction Limited operates in Eastern Canada, while Chant Construction Company Inc. operates in Western Canada, Chant Power Inc. operates in the United States, and Chant International Limited handles operations throughout the rest of the world.

There are two Vice Presidents, each responsible for business development, project procurement and the complete delivery process within their respective territories, as well as providing support to each other and the President.

Reporting to and working with our Vice Presidents are dedicated and project specific Project Managers. Our Project Managers are tasked with the minute to minute delivery of our performance obligations on a project by project basis. Chant Project Managers are assigned to work based on their experience and capacity to successfully deliver the specific task at hand.

Project Managers staff their projects by drawing from a diverse and highly qualified talent pool of Chant people (administrators, engineers, construction supervisors and specialty personnel). Every single Chant employee has been selected and is trained (or is being trained) to deliver excellence in the areas of safety, cost, schedule, people development and maintaining our reputation for performance.

Our Project Teams are supported day to day by the President, health and safety, quality management, human resources, information technology and financial reporting professionals at the corporate level.
