Preparation of IHM Part I, Part II, Part III Services

SHARE
The primary objective of the Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) is to meticulously document the ship-specific hazardous substances onboard, ensuring two critical objectives: first, the safeguarding of seafarers' and yard workers' health and safety; second, the prevention of environmental contamination during ship recycling. Ship recycling facilities depend on this in-depth information to make well-informed decisions on managing identified hazardous materials. Starting July 1, 2021, all EU-flagged vessels are mandated to have IHM Part-I and an Inventory Certificate, while non-EU-flagged vessels must have IHM Part-I and a Statement of Compliance when docking at EU ports. Notably, the Hong Kong Convention will be effective from June 26, 2025, further cementing the importance of IHM documentation.
