In 2010 Linde Engineering restructured its organization to be a worldwide `one-face-to-the-supplier` organization. The six Global Procurement Centres are the points of contact in the different regions:
The main principles of Global Procurement have been determined as follows:
- Global Procurement is built on supply market intimacy through in situ organizations (Procurement Centers)
- Supply markets are approached exclusively through the respective Procurement Center ("one face to the supplier")
- Procurement Centers provide capable and trusted commercial as well as engineering competencies
- Global Procurement is based on binding Material Strategies, developed by our Strategic Procurement Team
- For each project a dedicated global procurement procedure is developed, which takes the project relevant issues into consideration and comes up with appropriate solutions
- Global Procurement is actively promoted in the sales phase of new projects and used during execution of projects
