Recycling Banks & LOLER Testing
Many of us know that recycling points are victim to vandalism. Bin Masters can return the recycling banks to their original glory by repairing, re-painting and re-applying stickers or undertaking a complete on-site refurbishment. The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations came into force in 1998. They cover all operations and equipment that involve lifting people and goods at work. The aspect of LOLER that relates to our service, is the cable and pulley systems inside the Recycling Banks. These are used regularly for the emptying and cleaning of the Recycling Banks, causing wear and tear to occur over time. The Bin Masters teams have been fully trained to deal with testing all of the moving parts inside the Recycling Banks, and carrying out the necessary repairs from the initial assessments. According to the Use of Work Equipment 1998 Regulations, an annual inspection should be carried out on every Recycling Bank in service.
