Research and Development Services
NGI has expertise in the geosciences and related fields of expertise, such as mechanics, dynamics, applied mathematics, information technology, physics, chemistry, instrumentation and electronics. The extensive experience and knowledge held by NGI`s employees is vital in the conduct of research and form the basis of the solutions and development at NGI.
Although some of NGI`s research is self-financed, most of the activity is contracted by The Research Council of Norway, different industrial and commercial clients, and the European Union`s Research Program.
Through extensive publication in scientific journals and conference proceedings, lecturing, participation in technical committees and international expert panels, NGI is an active and renowned contributor to research and development in the geosciences. At all times there are several international experts and researchers on exchange and scholarship programs at NGI.
