Scientific Cooperation
The production and sharing of scientific and technical knowledge are vital to the deployment of innovative concepts in energy management and environment protection. By stimulating knowledge debate, scientific and technical cooperation facilitates decision-making in international negotiations on climate change, contaminated site management, atmospheric pollution, etc. By designing and developing reference tools and methods, scientific cooperation networks also contribute to the definition and evaluation of policies and regulations.
Through bilateral cooperation agreements with counterpart agencies (e.g. the NEDO in Japan), international networks (e.g. the ECEEE) and European projects (e.g. the ERA NET scheme), the ADEME supports and participates in scientific cooperation programmes that foster experience exchange, the development of joint projects or programmes and/or technology transfer.
