The undercarriage used in DRESSTA crawler dozers and pipelayers has been designed for tough job applications and matched for long life. It must work in all types of materials while performing many different types of operations. The undercarriage of the tractor makes contact with the rocks or abrasive materials it is working in, and one part has a direct bearing on its mating part. The undercarriage works as a team – it is only as good as its weakest link. The DRESSTA undercarriage parts are strong enough to resist cracking and breakage and they have sufficient material and heat treatment for wear resistance to provide long life. They are kept in correct alignment to prevent accelerated wear and other service problems.
Track rollers and Idlers have the ability to withstand the brutal shock loads encountered in severe applications and provide long wear life.
Sprocket is the „hunting tooth” that distributes the wear evenly over all of the sprocket teeth. This feature reduces sprocket tooth wear which keeps the sprocket pitch the same as the track pitch for a longer period. This results in less bushing wear and longer track chain and sprocket life
Front Idlers are either cast of fabricated and reinforced to resist twisting and flexing actions incurred in rough working conditions.
Lubricated Track System – standard solution in DRESSTA tractors benefits from a major reduction of internal pin and bushing wear. This is accomplished with a seal assembly, which retains lubricating oil within the pin, bushing, and link counterbore wear surfaces. Deep hardened chain links offer high core hardness and along with heat treated pins and bushings ensure long life and wear resistance.
Split Master Link reduces chain removal effort and installation time.
Track Shoes are manufactured to specific steel specifications and heat treated for maximum wear resistance.
