Technical Assistance is provided on-site and on a one-to-one basis through the Association`s program technicians and circuit riders. Technical assistance is available to all water/wastewater systems for operational and maintenance problems.Source Water Specialists provide professional assistance to small public water systems in Colorado. Their role is facilitatiion, coordination, and mediation in the development of an initial Source Water Protection Plan.
CRWA`s Mobile Training Unit (MTU) is an equipped classroom on wheels designed for onsite hands-on training. The MTU provides intervention and disaster assistance when needed throughout the state (CoWarn).
GPS/GIS Mapping Programs offer competitive rates by maintaining low overhead and equipment costs. Our GIS and GPS services are geared toward small community water systems. We incorporate your skilled personnel, their knowledge, along with updateable and cost-effective asset management mapping solutions. Our Trimble GeoExplorer XH (sub-foot GPS) allows for highly efficient data collection methods and procedures, an additional cost saving service.
Online Training allows you to stay current with approved water and wastewater Training Units the easy way--online! There are no travel costs, you can take courses when and where you want, log on and off as often as you like and review material retaking quizzes as many times as you want.
Webinars include topics related to small water system operations and planning. You can take part in these trainings, using your home or office computer. Webinars range from FREE to $45.00 each (fees stated below). Archived presentations may be viewed at your convenience.
The Annual Conference is held with concurrent training sessions and exhibits providing the latest technology in the water/wastewater industry. The workshops along with the conferences provide an opportunity for operators to discuss with each other common problems and solutions. Rate Studies and Long Range Planning offers training and assistance in analyzing projected revenue vs. operating and capital expenses to determine water rates that are both fair to consumers and adequate to fund future growth.
Funding Resource Referralscan be provided to members for state and local grants and low-interest loan providers. CRWA helps locate and secure funding for capital improvements and system upgrades.
Leak Detection and/or Line Location from our technicians can be provided on an on-call basis. We can facilitate water audit and leak detection programs and recommend experienced and expert contractors for major repair or system upgrades.
Emergency Response Planning Vulnerability Self-Assessment assistance is available from your Colorado Rural Water Association. ERP planning should be a coordinated and planned process. CRWA offers a template that was designed to address various emergency hazards that may occur in rural and small systems. Regardless of the type of emergency whether natural or man-made each system has the responsibility to be prepared to protect the public health and to restore services that may be impacted.
Consumer Confidence Reports can be prepared by our staff for a fee by completing a state approved attached document
Sanitary Surveys are on-site reviews of a public water system for the purpose of evaluating the adequacy of the facilities for producing and distributing safe drinking water. Our staff can help you understand a Sanitation Survey and prepare for a visit by regulatory authorities.
Monitoring Plans show how a system intends to comply with the monitoring requirements of the Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations and this year failure to have a plan will result in a violation of state requirements and it must be reported on your CCR. The plan serves as a uniquely tailored road map for each specific system to demonstrate that the water quality self-monitoring performed by the system is representative of the water distributed to consumers and is consistent with regulatory requirements. Our staff can help you understand a Monitoring Plan and assist with completing this document.
Insurance Programs provides Director and Officers Liability insurance, systems insurance and coordinates the Worker`s Comp insurance reduced rate program.
