The Scanmachine, being a subsea excavator with multi-tooling options, has been utilized for preparation of drill-holes for blastering in underwater tunnel projects. The Scanmachine was mobilised on a rig and using its Monitoring System (MOS) to locate the pre-defined drilling points at exact position subsea.
Scanmudring has been involved in cable installation projects making trenches and preparing of subsea cables and pipelines shore approaches. The containerized spread can operate from any floating working platform or from shore base, allowing it to face challenges in the surf zone from both sides.
Customized options for various applications could be tailor made. Securing subsea objects using micro piles, would allow permanent securement in hard materials, as opposed to trenching.
Scanmudring is ready to carry existing or customized tools also for the exploration phase of subsea mining. Being a subsea specialist, introducing our existing equipment pool or designing new technology.
The dredging tools also brings the option of reinstalling the removed rock, by simply bringing it back into original position.
This brings value to your project by being able to remove rock, perform inspection or modification, and reinstall rock at the asset - all in one campaign.
Subsea relocation of rock could also be used to bring rock into position, which is inaccessible, restricted or not desired for the floating installers. This allows perfect scour protection and engineered rock installation could be performed from a safe distance temporary rock installation. Reduces operational risks and secure quality of the installed rock.
The Scanmachines are preparred for carrying multiple hydraulic and mechanical tools along with the dredger. With multiple tools available subsea, recovery for tool-changes could be eliminated, saving valuable time for your project.
