Site Restauration

In Germany about 190,000 areas are registered suspected of contamination. About half of these are former used for industrial purpose, as landfill sites or as military bases. Because public funding is not readily available for the clean up and restoration of brownfields and private investor are hesitant to invest in problematic areas, the potenital valuable sites remain either unused or underutilized, although they often are situated in privileged locations in the cities.
