Solvent Management
Is your business involved in the use of Volatile Organic Compounds as part of any of the following activities? Adhesive coating, coating activity, coil coating, dry cleaning, footwear manufacture, manufacturing of coating preparations, varnishes, inks and adhesives, manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, printing, rubber conversion, surface cleaning, vegetable oil and animal fat extraction and vegetable oil refining activities., vehicle refinishing, winding wire coating, wood impregnation, wood and plastic lamination.
Volatile Organic Compounds are emitted as gases by a wide range of products including paints, paint strippers, thinners, glues adhesive and cleaning agents.
If you are using organic solvents you may be obliged to comply with the Emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds from Organic Solvents Regulations 2002 (S.I. No. 543 of 2002). In Ireland these regulations are implemented by the existing EPA IPPC Licensing system and also by the AIC system. Depending on the type and quantities of solvents you are using you may need to follow the AIC (Accredited Inspection Contractor) reporting to your relevant local authority or the IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) route for compliance which is controlled by the EPA.
At Clearview Compliance we provide a hassle free cost effective solution to help you comply with these regulations using our Six Steps to Solvent Management.
