Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Regulations (SPCC)

SHARE

The Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure regulations (SPCC) require facilities using oil products to establish an SPCC plan when it could reasonably be expected to discharge oil in harmful quantities into or upon navigable waters. In addition, the SPCC plan may require certification by a professional engineer, periodic facility inspections, and training. Many industries need to comply with the SPCC regulations. OECS assists in SPCC onsite evaluations and provides SPCC certification assistance, programs, and employee training.
