Spill Response, Remediation & Restoration Services
Most businesses have a link with the environment and every year in the UK there are thousands of spillage incidents which, unless managed, can lead to serious business interruption, reputational damage and heavy fines. The impact of these incidents could be minimised by having our UKSpill Accredited Spillage Response teams available to respond to your spillage incident 24/7. Utilising our own in-house trained response teams and supported by our nationwide network of carefully selected specialist responders, we are able to provide a rapid, safe and effective response to environmental incidents.
In over 6000 incidents we have NEVER had a client prosecuted for causing pollution where OHES managed the initial response.
There are 3 easy steps:
Step 1:
Call - Report your spill to OHES – Our expert incident advisors will give you free advice over the telephone on practical measures to minimise the impact. Jointly, we will decide whether an emergency response is required and whether notification of regulatory authorities is advised.
Step 2:
Mobilisation - Our Response team will mobilise to your incident from the nearest response depot. They will keep you advised of their ETA whilst we continue to provide you with telephone support and assistance. Where required, we can also mobilise an expert Incident Manager to the scene to give on site advice and direction. Many of our staff are ex-environmental regulators and are used to liaising with regulators, the emergency services and determining the most appropriate response strategy for the situation.
Step 3:
Clean-up - Our UKSpill Accredited Response team will physically contain and recover spilled product in the most efficient and effective manner. Using our extensive range of environment protection equipment, techniques and huge experience we will take steps to protect the environment, property and human health.Where environmental damage has occurred we are able to carry out full investigations into the extent of damage and devise and execute risk driven remediation programmes supported by full validation and site restoration. Our Ecology team are able to support major incidents where there has been damage to habitat.
Better still is to prevent an incident from occurring in the first place. Ask us about our Environmental Risk Management and Incident Response Planning services.
