Plan Development
NPDES permits, POTW discharge permit and federal regulations require most facilities to develop and implement one or more of the following pollution prevention plans: best management practices plan (BMP); spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plan (SPCC); stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWP3); toxic organic management plan (TOMP); and spill and slug control plan.
Referencing EPA guidance and other published documents, our staff prepare these plans, and our professional engineers certify them, as required. The plan development process is complemented by developing site-specific training programs, conducting training sessions, and performing site inspections.
Regulatory Support
EQ routinely advises clients on the regulatory requirements associated with current operations, plant expansions, greenfield developments, and closures. We have worked on projects across the country and have the technical resources in our in-house library to support projects in all states, territories, and Canada. EQ has considerable experience with effluent guidelines (e.g., metal finishing, electroplating, metal products and machinery, and soap and detergents), the combined wastestream formula, federal and state general permits, local ordinances, guidance documents, effluent guideline development documents, and state policies.
