Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Services

ERS provides specialist technical support to Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of major policies and plans and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of projects in the fields of Soil, Geology, Hydrogeology and Groundwater Resources.Shane Herlihy has acted as a Project Director for large scale EIA projects and has lead the hydrogeological impact assessment for several complex projects that were defended successfully at Oral Hearing, including the Fingal Landfill Project.  Shane currently sits on a specialist panel within the Institute of Geologists of Ireland that is updating the Institute’s professional guidelines on the assessment of impacts to soil and geology during EIA.
