Supervision

At Vahanen, we carry out supervision in accordance with tried and tested practices. One of our central tools is a supervision plan which is both an aid to practical supervision work and a document that summarises the whole project. The supervision plan includes, among other things: 

• a list of the characteristic risks and potential problems of the project
• model surveys
• end-of-phase inspections
• quality assurance testing
• supervision memoranda  
• financial monitoring
• contacts with the authorities

Regular building site visits form a central part of supervision. Vahanen always creates a supervision memorandum on site, leaving one copy for filing at the site. In this way we ensure that there is a mutual understanding between the contractor and ourselves, and that the instruction or order can be fulfilled immediately. On site visits, supervisors conduct inspections and make observations and findings. They monitor for example adherence to schedules, occupational safety, costs, and the quality of completed work.

Our supervision services cover the entire construction period from the initial meeting to the building’s handover and financial end accounting. All stages are documented to ensure that supervision actions can be checked later.
