Today, delivering sustainable development is at the heart of the planning system as Government drives legislative change through the National Planning Policy Framework and Local Policy Framework. Pegasus Group provides sustainability advice to promote sustainable development across all sectors of industry and provides specialised services addressing three key areas: planning for places (environmental role); planning for prosperity (economic role); and planning for people (social role).
The key issues of environment, economy and society are further strengthened with a presumption in favour of sustainable development both at planning and decision making, as a starting point, and captured within our Sustainability services. These services incorporate key tools; BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes and SAP. The sustainability credentials of a development project can be highlighted by a sustainability appraisal and this, in turn, can be used as a comparative tool against which to assess the relative suitability of competing sites. Our focus is to add value with sustainable development, capturing technologies and capitalising on changes in policy for the future.
