The future lies in sustainable energy combined with sustainable building. Clients are setting increasingly strict comfort requirements for new homes and commercial premises. The attractive indoor climate provided by sustainable energy adds quality and is being used more and more for the extra comfort it provides.
The use of sustainable energy from the substratum replaces the use of high value fossil fuels with low value energy sources such as geothermal power and groundwater. This can reduce the energy demand for heating by a maximum of 40%, and for cooling up to as much as 90%. The variable demand for heating in the winter and cooling in the summer in combination with aquiferous strata in the subsoil make the Netherlands highly suitable for the use of sustainable energy from heat stored under the earth`s surface.
We have been operating in the area of sustainable energy from the soilsince 1995. In the nineteen-nineties we were closely involved in the development of the hydraulic installation of vertical soil heat exchangers. In 1997 that resulted in the company winning first prize in the heat pump competition. Energy systems that make use of geothermal power and groundwater in combination with heat pumps have now amply proved their worth in the Netherlands.
