Overview: In 1991, Terraine began business as an environmental consulting firm, performing environmental remediation, assessments, and other services. Much of this work involved collecting data in the field, data that needed to be collected quickly, accurately, and according to set parameters. After surveying the market for electronic data collection solutions, in 2003, Terraine found the Adesso platform, then owned by Adesso Systems of Boston, MA. After 5 years as a customer and a reseller, Terraine purchased the intellectual property of the Adesso platform in May 2008.
Specialized Data Collection Experience
Terraine has worked with both government and corporate clients to create data collection solutions with our Adesso platform. Terraine has created applications based on its existing platform that allow the collection of data from remote areas with limited telecommunications capability.
Federal Government Experience
Terraine has extensive experience supplying Department of Energy, U.S. Navy, and other Department of Defense contractors with data management and software applications. Terraine provided data management and software services for monitoring at 10 Navy facilities and has also provided data management for contractors in multiple USACE districts.
State and Local Government Experience
Terraine provides data management and software services to several state and local governments, including the State of New Mexico; Davidson County, TN; Miami County, OH; Warren County, OH; and several others. The solutions provided involve data collection, are based on the Adesso platform, and are customized to the particular application required. They include health and safety inspections, quality control, and waste management.
Private Sector Experience
Terraine provides quality control, data management, data collection, and form software for several utilities, including American Electric Power and Duke Energy. These applications are used at remote locations and provide the means to report data, generate reports and forms in the field, and submit forms and reports to a central location via data synchronization from multiple locations.
