The requirements regarding the reliability of measurement results have been increased significantly in systems of quality assurance. The certificate attests to the traceability of the origin of the raw material, the reliability of the production process and of the infrastructure of the services connected to it. Through traceable calibration it is possible to know the incident error on each measurement determining its uncertainty and thus enabling the necessary corrections in the results.
