Water quality
Water quality and your health and safety is our highest priority. An unusually high rate of hydrant use and other water use in the Mountain Shadows area and adjacent neighborhoods due to rebuilding activity has resulted in periodic discolored water, due to harmless minerals and natural deposists being released from scoured water pipes. While we understand this is aesthetically unpleasant, we want to assure you that your drinking water meets or exceeds Safe Drinking Water Act standards. Read our tips on how to clear your water.

Vegetation restoration
Residents and business owners with property in the Waldo Canyon Fire burn area are eligible for the Vegetation Restoration Adjustment. Customers meeting the criteria will receive a 30 percent decrease on the cost of their water consumption. Click here for the application and frequently asked questions.

Building & reconstruction process
Please refer to our reconstruction process document for an outline of the process for debris removal, demolition and reconstruction of homes damaged in the Waldo Canyon Fire area.

Rebuilding rebates
To help with post-disaster rebuilding efforts, we are offering affected residents the opportunity to enhance their new home’s energy and water efficiency. Installing efficient fixtures, components and appliances can significantly improve a home’s comfort and performance while reducing utility bills.

We are supporting this effort by offering existing water and energy efficiency rebates to affected customers rebuilding their structures. Rebates are offered in whole home programs and individual product options.
