Waste Management and Classification

According to which waste code number should or may waste be classified? This is a crucial question when dealing with ways of waste disposal and the costs connected with it. The applicable waste code number is based on the Waste Catalogue Ordinance as well as other legal regulations and directives. Types of waste are classified by either origin, function, or substance, and thus their correct waste codes derive from this classification. There are many other types of waste that have a so-called `mirror entry`. Mirror entries mean that we are basically dealing with the same type of waste but have to differentiate between “dangerous” and “non-dangerous” type of this waste. The waste declaration is an answer to this question, forming the basis for the classification of this type of waste and thus the precondition for a correct disposal.
