Now that certain types of everyday waste in the workplace have been classified as hazardous there’s a legal obligation to dispose of them in accordance with The Hazardous Waste Regulations. Otherwise you could leave yourself liable to prosecution.

Our Waste-Safe Mini service provides a cost effective and hassle free solution for the safe storage and collection of low volume mixed hazardous waste. What’s more, it couldn’t be easier to use.


Biffa Waste-Safe Mini is an exchangeable container service designed to enable the safe storage of waste until you are ready for an exchange.

How it works

To arrange an exchange simply complete the inventory list supplied with the container and fax or email it back to Biffa. We’ll then arrange collection of your waste.

Simply put a copy of the inventory list in the container and when the driver arrives to exchange your used Waste-Safe Mini, sign the Consignment Note. We’ll take care of all the relevant paperwork as part of the service.

How frequently?

You have the flexibility to request an exchange when it suits you, however Waste-Safe Mini containers should be exchanged at least once a year to comply with the storage requirement of The Hazardous Waste Regulations.
