Lentikat - Wastewater Nitrification and Denitrification Biotechnology for Wastewater Treatment
Lentikats Biotechnology introduces a new approach to the intensification of nitrification and denitrification processes in municipal WWTPs and to selective biodegradations in industrial wastewater treatment. Lentikats Biotechnology is based on the entrapment of pure cultures of nitrification or denitrification bacteria into a porous carrier, so-called Lentikats Biocatalyst. High concentrations of the immobilized pure bacterial cultures (up to 16 times higher biomass content in comparison to activated sludge mixed liquors) lead to a highly efficient and stable process for removal of nitrogen pollution and organic compounds. Lentikats Biotechnology offers a compact solution for removal of nitrogen pollution from municipal (optimisation of operation) and industrial wastewaters, constructed wetlands or biogas plant effluents and for selective biodegradations.
