Water Audit Services

As a leading water audit service provider we will carry out a FREE independent water audit of your existing water and sewerage charges in Scotland, England or Wales to identify how we can make savings and/or achieve possible refunds.

After our desktop water audit service and/or site survey, DBC will then make recommendations as to the ways in which water savings can be made.

For large users we can use our sophisticated water audit software to enable our experts to analyse your water consumption data at different monitoring points. Then, armed with that data, we can send our experts on to your site(s). They will determine how best to reduce your water consumption and your sewerage charges.

Overcharges and Billing Error
Our water audit service is free, at nil cost, to you.  We are simply incentivised to analyse your water billing for 100% accuracy between billing and site conditions. If we find inaccuracies then we can secure rebates and ongoing savings, which we are then paid out of. For some clients we have recovered up to 6 years of overcharges, saving them large sums of money, one getting a nice rebate of £90,000.

Water Consumption
Once the initial water audit is complete, if you wish us to do so, we can move onto the water consumption audit. We will carry out a water audit of your water use. This enables us to build a water consumption profile for your site. Our water audit service can include some or all facets for investigation and with your permission we undertake them at no cost to you.

Water Meters
Do you have the correct water meter size? Perhaps your bill is unmetered and you pay on rateable value? We can do the necessary calculations to determine if you have the correct size of water meter and arrange for a replacement to be fitted and/or whether you’re better off paying on rateable value rather than pay recurring charges for a meter.

Leaks
Our water audit service can identify through water bill analysis or water consumption data if you have a leak. A leak on your side of the water meter can be very costly and we can often reclaim some or all of the extra charges. With Smart Data Loggers fitted you’d get a notification message immediately your consumption dramatically changed thereby identifying a leak before it gets very costly.
