Bosque Systems, LLC

Water Treatment Serivces

SHARE

Bosque Systems, LLC provides targeted production-based disposal well and water treatment solutions for the top well operators in the region, including EOG Resources, Devon Energy and XTO Energy, who have expressed a critical need for additional salt water disposal well capacity. In addition, Bosque Systems, LLC. has developed a mobile water treatment system for application in oil and gas extraction operations. The water treatment system is capable of providing significant reductions in bacteria count, organics, metals, total suspended solids, and other constituents of concern.

Bosque Systems, LLC provides one of the most innovative, environmentally-friendly water treatment solutions for the oil and gas industry. Based on the customers’ unique water quality needs, Bosque Systems’ engineering team can design the most suitable solution for the treatment of water to be re-used or disposed of. Bosque’s water management solutions include:

  • Electrocoagulation treatment
  • Chemical pre-treatment
  • Clarification and flocculation
  • Filtration
  • Produced fluids trucking management
  • Sediment waste disposal
  • NEW! MIOX Free Chlorine – Mobile Water Treatment available

Bosque has successfully demonstrated its ability to treat water at the well pad during the fracing job in the Fayetteville and Marcellus Shales and during the flowback in the Marcellus Shale, minimizing fresh water usage and the demands on the regions’ limited disposal well capacity.

Bosque Systems currently uses an electrocoagulation/electro-oxidation technique for treating flowback and production water. This process involves applying high current to the water to kill bacteria, produce oxygenation and ionization, and flocculate organic matter.

Bosque Systems’ treatment and reuse solution ensures hydraulic fracing requires significantly less fresh water than wells fractured with fresh water only, since a portion of the water used in fracing operations is flowback water treated from a previously fraced well.

Bosque provides a total solution relating to water treatment and reuse, and works closely with other field personnel, including gas well operator company men, trucking dispatchers, other vendors, fracturing crews and water transfer personnel to ensure treated water is delivered in the desired ratio on the fracturing job, with no disruption in continuity.

Bosque employees are experienced in proper field operations and safety, and reduce the burden on the gas well operators, allowing them to focus on their core strengths of drilling and hydraulic fracturing operations.

Bosque maintains personnel on location 24 hours a day during treatment operations to ensure water integrity and that no unauthorized disposal of water occurs in its storage tanks or fracturing ponds.

Bosque personnel routinely take field samples of influent and effluent water and provide onsite testing in its mobile laboratory to ensure consistent water quality is being maintained throughout the job.

Disposal wells are not the preferred method for water treatment in many areas as most shale producing regions do not have a disposal zone capable of accepting water. Also, other disposal treatments provided by local water treatment authorities are costly and environmentally unfriendly.

Bosque Systems solves important issues related to gas production today:

  • Reduces gas well completion costs.
  • Reduces fresh water usage for hydraulic fracing.
  • Reduces trucking on local roads.
  • Reuse, as opposed to disposal, of flowback and produced waters from hydraulic fracing operation.
  • Reduce the amount of chemicals, and use environmentally friendlier methods.
  • Strategic location of operations to reduce truck costs and disturbance.

Bosque currently operates in five key markets, with anticipated growth into other shale plays:

  • Barnett Shale (Texas)
  • Eagle Ford Shale
  • Fayetteville Shale (Arkansas)
  • Bakken Shale
  • Permian Basin
