Foobot Smart - Air Building AI-Driven Software
Heating and cooling are the largest consumers in buildings but still, people inside often don’t feel comfortable. That’s because HVAC management is a highly complex problem — where AI has much to improve.
Step 1
Creating a digital twin
Whatever the goal is, save energy, improve comfort or air quality, Foobot artificial intelligence suggests optimized HVAC actions and needs to assess how much energy these actions are using.
With your real-life energy consumption data and the help of our patent-pending algorithms, we create an “energy calibrated model*”, which is a representation of your building that react to stimuli exactly the same way your building would.
Step 2
Connect AI to the building
Once our AI is pre-trained — after just a few hours — it needs to talk to your HVAC, which is done via the Building Management System.
Once connected, Foobot SAB takes in real-time data, such as the status of each HVAC equipment, and immediately figures out how to optimize energy consumption. It then sends instructions to the BMS.
Step 3
Taking in T/H and adding comfort
With now the AI in place and connected, let’s add unprecedented thermal comfort.
By playing on humidity and not just temperature, our AI achieves compliance with ASHRAE 55 “Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy”.
Step 4
Delivering a healthy building
You already have CO2 sensors in your building?
Let’s use this data to make sure pollution levels are always kept low for workers.
Foobot uses the finest AI to optimise the control of your HVAC systems, by making predictions, anticipated decisions, and by taking in indoor conditions and weather forecasts.
In short, your HVAC is just better regulated, and you enjoy reduced bills.
Foobot SAB used Deep Reinforcement Learning to save energy on heating, cooling and ventilation in a 15,000m² office building, which was platinum-certified by the German standard DGNB-DK, before Foobot came in.
Indoor air pollutants were kept much below the Danish air quality thresholds throughout the setup, and complaints about thermal discomfort dropped.
- Large energy savings.
- Short payback time.
- Quick setup.
Who’s SAB for?
- Property and facility management companies
- Building owners
- Architecture and sustainability firms
- BMS system integrators
Any building with a BMS qualifies.
