Aquarius - Version Time-Series -Analytics Softwar
AQUARIUS Time-Series is the most powerful platform for managing water resources. Environmental data from multiple sources are securely stored for fast, central access. Its simple design delivers the latest science and techniques in an intuitive interface. Water managers can easily correct and quality control data, build better rating curves, derive statistics, and report in real-time to meet stakeholder expectations for timely, accurate water information.
Centrally Manage Your Monitoring Network Locations | The central concept in AQUARIUS Time-Series is a monitoring location. A location houses time series datasets, rating models, field visits, and other data as needed. Location information includes geospatial coordinate and datum details, agency ID numbers, user access rights, and attachments of files and images. Using the AQUARIUS Data Connector, location information and other data such as field visits and time series can be synchronized from an external system, if that is where they are stored and managed. Location information can also be extended as needed, adding items like phone numbers, drainage areas, or funding status.
Edit & Correct Time Series | Records from remote environmental monitoring stations usually contain some anomalous or erroneous data, like sensor drifts. To ensure the highest quality of published data these anomalous records need to be quality controlled. AQUARIUS Time-Series provides an easy to use and rigorous graphical data correction and editing environment. Spike removals, drift adjustments, and pro-rated percent corrections are just a few of the many data correction tools available. The powerful audit log automatically tracks all changes.
Defend & Retrace Data with the Automatic Audit Log | AQUARIUS Time-Series safeguards all of your original data. A user can never edit the raw data. The powerful AQUARIUS Data Correction toolbox records all changes in a reversible change stack. All edits, corrections, grades, approvals, metadata, and notes are non-destructive and fully logged in the session-independent undo/redo audit track. The completeness of the audit log allows you to re-construct a time series “as of” any time in the past. This feature makes it easy for you to defend your decisions, since data can be rolled back in time to show exactly what corrections were applied at any point in history.
Build Stage Discharge Rating Models | The development of river stage versus discharge curves is a key step in any hydrographer’s work. Field measurements, cross sectional survey data, and dynamic river conditions (such as backwater, scour, fill, and weed growth) all have to be taken into account when calculating discharge. The accuracy of your computed discharge data is critically dependent on your rating curves. AQUARIUS Time-Series puts all the information you need at your fingertips so you can be confident in the rating curves that you build.
Derive Statistics from Time Series & Visualize Meteorological Data | Calculating and reporting on statistical values that are derived from a time series can be done quickly. AQUARIUS Time-Series allows users to calculate a myriad of derived statistical summary values and to have these values form a new time series. Certain data types require special treatment when it comes to data visualization. Examples of these types of data are rainfall accumulations and intensities. AQUARIUS Time-Series helps you visualize all types of data, for example, displaying raw and corrected precipitation on a single chart.
Generate Reports in Seconds | Turn raw data into actionable information in seconds to better manage your precious water resource. Print-ready reports are a key deliverable for ongoing operations and regulatory compliance requirements. AQUARIUS Time-Series allows you to quickly generate reports from a large list of industry templates. Reports can also be populated with machine-readable data and retrieved programmatically through the AQUARIUS Web Service APIs.
Choose a Scalable Standards-Based Architecture | The AQUARIUS Time-Series is a fully scalable, modern enterprise platform. It can be deployed on a national level, managing thousands of stations and users, or to a single user faced with managing a few real-time stations. Supported scripting languages (C# and VB.NET) are standard .NET languages, eliminating the need to learn proprietary languages. All external interfaces to the system are easily accessed via SOAP and REST web services.
