LUNA - Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) Software

Due to its Internet Web based structure no program files needs to be installed in users computers. All files and data are stored in a main server at the utility company headquarters. Any device (computer, laptop, PDA tablet, mobile phone etc.) with access to the internet web can be used to reach and use the program. This structure allows any operator working outside with a mobile phone to input data or receive reports in an instant. Numerous users with different various access rights can be defined to use the system with strong security precautions.

Subscribers or meters in the utility system can be grouped together according to common properties such as meters using same power substations or meters in a given geographic area. Then various smart reports can be generated to menage discrepancies between incoming power and the distributed power to the subscribers. As a result system losses or non-technically lost power can be easily analyzed and this data can be used to take corrective actions. All detected tampering and interventions to the electricity meter can be instantaneously alerted and recorded, allowing a quick response to take corrective actions. Subscriber based monthly reports and analysis is possible with intelligent filtering for locating subscribers who exceed allowed power consumption.

Using the AMR program all meters installed in a network can be accessed from a remote location such as a control center and data received can be stored as various computer file output formats. As well as common output formats such as PDF, Excel, CSV the software can also output data in special file formats for programs such as SAP and Oracle. the imported data then can be used for statistical reports, generating billing data for customers or can be imported into other applicaitons such as load Smart Grid Monitoring software.

Used together with LUNA GSM Modems, LUNA AMR program has also capability to remotely connect and disconnect power to subscribers who have not paid ther electricity bills. Filters and intelligent decision algorithms can be added to allow the program to make smart decisions and reduce operational costs. Automatic tasks such as end of the week or even end of the day meter readouts, meter tamper status control or even peak hour demand checks can be defined. Notifications or alarms based on meter data can be defined for example an excessive use of reactive power alarm can be defined and e-mails or SMS messages to subscribers can be sent to alert for correction of this costly problem.
