Emasys - Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) System
An automatic meter reading (AMR) system for monitoring energy and water consumption is a key IoT technology of today’s water supply, energy networks and energy efficiency systems. Our AMR system consists of reliable, flexible and proven IoT products (hardware) that enable advanced metering and accompanying software – our custom-developed web application for energy data management – “AMR Emasys” .
Our IoT metering solution can measure the consumption of water, electricity, gas, thermal energy (heating), steam, fuel oil and the production of electrical or thermal energy produced by solar panels. It can also measure and collect other relevant measurement values such as outdoor and indoor temperature, relative humidity (rH), flow, pressure, air quality (VOC and CO2), etc. all in order to increase the energy efficiency of your system.
How does an AMR system work in practice?
Smart meters already have the ability to connect to telemetry (AMR) systems whereas AMR compatible meters require the addition of a pulse reader and offer a lower cost solution. Meters reveal data on energy or water consumption.
AUTOMATIC METER READING MODULEThis compact device mounted close to the meter collects data from the meter using a communication protocol such as wired M-Bus, wireless M-Bus OMS, Mod-bus, LoRaWAN, Sigfox or NB-IoT technology.
CENTRAL UNITWith the M-bus and LoRaWan protocols, the AMR module and sensors communicate directly with a central unit, also located at the user’s facility, and collects data from all metering points and sends them on.
SERVERHourly meter readings are automatically sent to our server visa GSM or Ethernet, where our web application AMR Emasys collects, stores and processes the data.
WEB APPLICATIONKeep track of all your energy and water consumption in one place by logging into our web app for energy management “AMR Emasys” from any computer, smartphone or tablet with internet access.
