Rapid CPT – gINT Add-in that streamlines the entire CPT analysis process. Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) provides engineers with large amounts of data for analysis. Converting the raw data (usually a text file) to something useful that can be analyzed and reported is a tedious and cumbersome process. It requires significant amounts of manual data manipulation (moving, copying and pasting) and is prone to human error. Furthermore, the engineer must then manually calculate numerous parameters and correlations for follow-on design and analysis. Dataforensics’ RAPID CPT makes importing data as easy as a few clicks of a mouse…without any transposition errors. RAPID CPT imports CPT data from the following formats:

Additional importers for other CPT manufacturer formats can be added upon request. RAPID CPT supports importing raw data in both English (Imperial) and Metric units. All data manipulation is automatically done for you.
With RAPID CPT, cone penetration testing interpretation software, you can now store your cone soundings, pore pressure dissipation tests and processed shear wave velocity test results in the same database enabling simplified analysis and reporting.

Dynamic Analysis and Interpretation of Cone Penetration Testing data
Once the CPT data is imported into gINT, you can automatically calculate various parameters.
Rapid CPT encapsulates typical CPT analyses and has over 55 calculations and correlations typically used by professionals evaluating CPT data. If the tool does not include a correlation you use, we can add it to your customized version of the tool or you can add a correlation yourself.
Streamlined Analysis and Interpretation
Any change you make updates all calculations immediately so changes are reflected immediately on all reports or graphs you generate. You no longer have to recalculate values in Excel or whatever program you are using, and then import the data into gINT again to include it on borehole logs, CPT reports, etc. Rapid CPT allows you to perform the entire analysis, interpretation and reporting process within a single software package.
Dynamic Reports
Rapid CPT includes many different reports two different types of reports, the standard report and the dynamic report. For all reports, the software determines relevant scales for the x and y axes of each plot. However, the user can specify values to override the x and y axes scales. The standard report always shows qt, fs, pore pressure, friction ratio, Soil Behavior Type and either shear wave velocity or equivalent (N1)60. The dynamic report allows the user to choose which parameters to include on a report and the order in which they appear. Additionally, you can specify up to 3 different moving average intervals to smooth plots of the Soil Behavior Type Normalized Friction Ratio and Normalized Pore Water Pressure Ratio. This is particularly useful for investigating different moving average intervals that are used to create a generalized soil profile. It allows you to customize the amount of smoothing that occurs within a sounding for the Soil Behavior Type.
