Aicos - Version CART -Decision Tree Software
CART is a robust, easy-to-use decision tree tool that automatically sifts large, complex databases, searching for and isolating significant patterns and relationships. This discovered knowledge is then used to generate reliable, easy-to-grasp predictive models for applications such as predicting quality-drift and conditions under which defects are most likely to occur.
CART uses an intuitive, Windows-based interface, making it accessible to both technical and non-technical users. CART is the only decision tree system based on the original CART code developed by world-renowned Stanford University and University of California at Berkeley statisticians. CART can either be run in a novice mode, where the software uses defaults settings and provides the best it can, or in an expert mode where the user refines the settings.
More than 80 file formats can be read as input data, including Excel files. The software automatically detects the name and type of the variables, which records are valid, etc. It can handle vast datasets with numerical as well as categorical variables.
How to use it
In the novice mode, you will grow your tree in merely 3 steps:
- Load your data
- Select target and candidate predictor variables
- Click the [start] button.
... That`s it!
CART opens up a navigator window, where the best generated tree is represented. The tree can be read as a set of understandable rules.
You can navigate into the numerous graphics and summary windows provided by CART in order to check that the model fits your needs and wishes. If not, you can refinement the model.
The "Report Writer" of CART is a very useful feature, which allows the user to build its own customized report, picking the relevant graphics, rules, or arrays and adding them into the report in one click.
