Desktop Alert is part of RapidReach and it initiates notifications directly to computers in your organisation. Through Desktop Alert, you can quickly reach all or selected groups of computers or users. The message is presented on screen and the user can be given the opportunity to acknowledge the message. To ensure that the message is noticed, audio beeps can be played and the message can also be read through the computer’s speakers.
Software Overview
Desktop Alert can inform thousands of individuals or computers in just a few seconds. With the help of Desktop Alert, you can simultaneously inform up to 50,000 recipients.
When a large number of computers are to be connected, network traffic through the organisation’s firewall can be minimised using a concentrator.
SecureAll data is transmitted in an encrypted and secure way using TLS.
Desktop Alert can be used in high security buildings where the use of mobile devices is prohibited, and in buildings with poor mobile reception.
How does it work?Notifications are delivered though a Desktop Alert client. This client software is automatically installed on selected computers. Any upgrade to the Desktop Alert is done automatically. The user does not need to take any steps in installation or upgrading the client software.
When the Desktop Alert App receives a notification, the message will appear on the computer screen.
The notification can be delivered silently or with an accompanying alert sound if required, the message can also be read aloud through the device’s speakers.
To respond is simple, just the click of a mouse.
The user may also be given the opportunity to view historical messages.
